Our project explores the integration of Lens with TalentLayer, focusing on creating a seamless experience for displaying unified profiles.
This project entailed integrating Lens protocol with Talent Layer platform, exploring different ways to unite these platforms. We learned valuable insights during our research and implementation, which significantly influenced our approach.
The journey included initial contract implementation, exploring subgraph RPC calls, and finally settling on an API approach for efficient data access and cross-chain compatibility.
The project evolved through various versions. Initially, we integrated Lens protocol directly with the Talent Layer ID contract. However, limitations like cross-chain compatibility issues led us to explore RPC calls.
Each iteration brought its own set of challenges and learnings, shaping the project's direction towards a more efficient and user-friendly approach.
In the end, we chose to use the API solution to access Lens data. The front-end connects directly to the Lens API, providing a simpler and more efficient way of accessing the data. This solution was effective in resolving the issues we faced with previous approaches, as it provided a fee-free experience for users and resolved cross-chain compatibility issues. The added ability of the subgraph to make cross-chain subgraph calls further enhanced the solution's functionality and versatility.
Overall, the API solution was the best fit for our needs and allowed us to successfully achieve our project goals.
